Welcome to the 22nd IWLR

Yebes Observatory, the National Geographic Institute of Spain (IGN), with the support of National Centre for Geographic Information (CNIG), and in collaboration with the International Laser Ranging Service (ILRS), will host the 22nd International Workshop on Laser Ranging in Guadalajara, Spain, on November 7-11, 2022.

The city of Guadalajara, in Castilla-La Mancha, the region roamed by Cervantes' immortal character Don Quixote, is conveniently located some 60 km eastwards of Madrid, easily reachable by public transport. It is the largest population centre near the Yebes Observatory, the most significant Spanish facility in the fields of radio astronomy and geodesy. The conference venue, where the main program and meetings of the various ILRS Standing Committees will be held, is located near the city centre, with accommodation and services at walking distance.

After the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 22nd IWLR, organized as a hybrid in-person/online event, will be an excellent opportunity to show and discuss advances in the scientific and technological fields of Satellite Laser Ranging, Lunar Laser Ranging, and other related techniques.
